Republic Companies earns national honor

The Republic Companies, a Quad-City family-owned wholesale distributor of electrical and HVAC&R equipment and supplies, has been presented with the overall “Best in Class Award” at the annual IMARK meeting.

IMARK is the premier marketing and buying group for the electrical industry, consisting of 184 independently owned electrical distributors and more than 100 of the industry’s leading supplier companies. Members of the group represent more than $6 billion in industry sales

The national award is voted on by the supplier companies. Selection criteria included sales management, e-commerce capabilities, strategic planning ability and follow through, continual employee training, inside sales and customer service, logistical and shipping superiority and suitability of inventory for the trading area.

The Republic Companies is celebrating its 90th year and has locations in Davenport and Dubuque, Iowa.
